Lucien Hellerman: I have played clarinet, soprano sax, and also trombone. The only difficulty I had with the trombone was getting used to where the notes were, since they are not as distinct or simple as on an instrument where you just put down certain fingers to get the sound you want. If a clarinet is like a guitar, a trombone is like a fiddle that lacks frets. The best way to get used to finding the notes is to practice a lot until it feels natural.
