Renay Billiar: Video games are not evil they aren't bad, what is bad is unregulated use of video games like a parent letting their child stay at home or indoors p! laying games all week and the kids total playing time amass to over 14-18hrs. Also bad is parents not paying attention to the ratings system...letting 10 year olds play M games (like my mother did). Truth is video games can be as wild as you want but it's up to parents to regulate playing and if they are letting their kids play 14hrs+ then they best make their kids play outside the amount equal or more....Show more

They do not make you dumb, they work on your hand/eye coordination, socially inept, uh huh, yeah, sure, and violent, if any child becomes violent because they saw something on a video game that was "cool", they had problems BEFORE they played the video game.

It's been ten years, and I'm one of the smartest kids in my school, in the gifted program, fairly popular, and only violently competitive. Those "people" most likely either sucked at games or just like to make people miserable.
