The only difficulty I had with the trombone was getting used to where the notes were, since they are not as distinct or simple as on an instrument where you just put down certain fingers to get the sound you want. If a clarinet is like a guitar, a trombone is like a fiddle that lacks frets. The best way to get used to finding the notes is to practice a lot until it feels natural.

There are plenty of books on the subject, however.If books don't sound appealing or helpful to you then stop by your local Ace Hardware and ask someone to point you to their expert. I work with one who knows how to do anything, what you need, and how to fit it into your budget. If you can find a person like that then you will get new ideas, help with budgeting, and assurance that you're getting the best product for the job.
